Kalmar à île Gotland (Suède) - Kalmar to Gotland island (Sweden)

Le but de la journée est d'arriver à l'île de Gotland. Sachant que j'ai réservé mon billet de ferry la veille. Le ferry part à 21h05 de Oskarshamn (à 80km au Nord de Kalmar) et j'arriverai à 0h30 sur l'île sans savoir où dormir... ça s'annonce difficile. Sur le chemin, je rencontre Mirco, un suisse de St-Galle qui voyage avec son vélo couché.

J'ai continué ma route jusqu'à Oskarshamn. Je suis arrivé au terminal de ferry vers 19h. Et comme j'avais deux heures à tuer, je me suis un peu baladé. J'ai trouvé un camping situé sur un bord de mer assez joli. C'est là que je fais la rencontre de Jesper et Lars-Peter, deux cyclistes voyageurs qui ont des remorques comme moi et qui doivent aussi se rendre sur l'île avec le même ferry que moi. Nous soupons ensemble et sympathisons. C'est décidé, nous iront sur l'île ensemble et trouverons un endroit pour dormir là-bas. Trois paires d'yeux valent mieux qu'une, surtout dans la nuit.

Bref, la traversée se passe bien.

Et nous ne mettons finalement pas tellement de temps à trouver un endroit pour dormir. Nous fêterons d'ailleurs cela avec ce qu'il nous reste de biscuits dans nos sacs.

Pédaler la nuit, c'est fatiguant, le sommeil sera profond pour nous tous...

The goal of today is to reach the Gotland Island. I booked my ferry ticket the day before at Henning's. The ferry leaves at 9:05pm from Oskarshamn (at 80km -approx 50 miles- up North from Kalmar) and I will arrive at 0:05pm on the island without knowing where to sleep. On my way, I meet Mirco, a swiss guy from St-Gallen with his lay-down cycle.

I continued my route until Oskarshamn. I arrived at the ferry terminal arund 7:00 pm. As I had two hours to kill, I cycled a bit trying to find a nice place where to wait. I found a camp ground situated on a pretty nice shore. This is where I meet Jesper and Lars-Peter, two cyclists who have trailers like me and who are also heading to the same island on the same ferry. We have late dinner together and become friendly rapidly. It's all set, we'll go on the island together and will find a place where to sleep. Three pair of eyes are better than only one, especially in the night.

So, the boat trip went well.

And we finally will find a place faster than expected. We will celebrate this with what we have left in terms of cookies in our bags.

Paddling over night is exhausting, our sleep will be deep for each of us.
