Blue Lagoon (Islande) – Blue Lagoon (Iceland)

1/9/2011

My flight being at 6:00pm, I planned to go to the Blue Lagoon. I reach it easily by hitch-hicking as it is about 30 minutes away from the airport. The Blue Lagoon is an aquatic resort based on the rejects of a geothermal plant. The water is blue turquoise and at a temperature between 38 and 40°C. You can find there pots with silicate to use as skin masks. It's pretty funny.

I do not regret to have paid these 30€ as the resort is really clean and you can find a sauna, a steam room and massage waterfalls. The only bad point... huumm... well... here it is... taking those pictures underneath, a big wind blast made falling the camera that I had placed on its mini-stand and... the camera fell into the water. I look stupid now. I will disassemble it as soon as arrive on the American continent. I am writing this message into the plane that leads me there. But tomorrow I am afraid that I won't be able to take any picture of Boston... Sorry...
