Buenaventura (Colombie) - Buenaventura (Colombia)

Mais mon copain le chien me tenait à me tenir compagnie.

On the road of Buenaventura, is located a little town called San Cipriano. It's a remote town that actually doesn't have road access, the only way to reach there is a railway. Thus, locals have fabricated some little wagons adjustable to their motobikes. The journey is about 15 minutes. It's like a roller-coaster but in a more natural version.

The town itself is pretty rustic and rudimentary.

In the end of the afternoon, a tropical storm pored an ocean on the village. It was pretty violent, I stayed stuck in a litters shelter for two great hours. But my friend the dog remained my company almost all the time.

But the rain did not prevent the local youth to play football. Interesting to see that even the huge puddles and the poring rain did not prevent them to play.

I found a room for the night for a very small amount. But the company of about 25 mosquitoes (I am in the middle of the jungle so this is an area of Malaria and Dengue) and the visit of a huge rat ON my bed during the night made me regreting my bargain.

The day after, I paid a local kid to bring me the to lost waterfall in the middle of the jungle.

I did the whole trail full of mud with barefoot (about one hour) and of course, I cut my foot with a root. Not clever to walk barefoot in the luxuriant jungle and full a all kind of bugs. But luckily nothing happened to me but it was pretty tough to reach the town back and I kept the injury for two painful weeks.

Anway, I then reached Buenaventura, with, I must say, no much interest except the fact that it is a big port, that gives access to little pretty beach towns. But the weather is miserable so I decide not to stay. The interesting point is that here the population is black skin, not latino. Of course there are some latinos, but there is not friction between communities.
