Bruxelles (Tienen) à Maastricht - Brussels (Tienen) to Maastricht

My friends, after a good night and a good breakfast at my Flamish friend's (and host) Albert and Marijke, I was feeling well motivated to reach Maastricht. But it was without counting on my dear friend mademoiselle the rain who started to fall again, and to hit my motivation because after maybe one hour, the heavy rain became hail ! I think it was some kind of provocation. Two days of heavy rain is not easy to undergo. In spite of waterpoof clothes, water soaks bit by bit and when it reaches the underwear, it's not easy to continue. When I was walking with my shoes, I felt like I was walking in puddles.

So, I got stopped and covered a few times under trees or bus stops; when the rain was decreasing, I was strating to pedal again but the rain was coming back again even more. In thoses cases, you'll find any excuse to stop as often as possible. And all this, with my tendinitis that prevents me to paddle normaly.
Anyway, I finally won, after 75km (about 50 miles) and 5h of fight with facing wind, heavy rain and hail, I reached Maastricht. I tried to dry myself and my stuff during one hour on the shore of the Maas (river the crosses the city) and finally found a hotel in a boat.

Tonight, I did a little tour into the city. The historical center is really big, I wasn't expecting this. Lovely city.

And... no, I did not have a joint, but it seems that a lot of foreigners come in this city on this purpose.
Tomorrow direction to the North...
