After a journey from Puno to La Paz more than irritating (I make it quick because I'm late on the blog but I would love to tell you the whole story). I requested and booked a window place in the bus, on the right hand side, the side of the lake Titicaca, except that because of the dishonesty of the bus company, I found myself sitting in the middle of the back seat. Needless to say I was not happy at all!

Anyway, I enter in Bolivia all fine, even if I struggle to find a cheap hotel. During the first 3 days, I will not do anything but I'll catch up on administrative stuff. In the meantime, I had time to do a little tour of the city and realize how vast it is. The most incredible thing is the amplitude of the city, more than 1000m between low neighborhoods and the top plateau of the city.

Then on October 4, it was the arrival of my friend from Lausanne, Roxane, who was supposed to be out of the airport at around 6:00am but finally got out at 8:00amh after the loss of her luggage by American Airlines (did I not already say NEVER take this company?). The poor girl, it starts well for her! But hey, it's not too serious, I have nothing planned for us for the first 2 days so she can get used to the altitude (we are in the upper part of La Paz, about 4000m). Together, we will visit the city peacefully during the first days.

We will also spend time searching for agencies to Death Road (next posts of the blog). We will also see a performance of female wrestling. Not too much Roxane's cup of tea but I have rather liked it.

Besides all that, I need to say that we are now in the cheapest country in South America, with meals less than 1€ ... sometimes; but generally in La Paz, you better have a strong stomach.
