Xalapa (Mexique) - Xalapa (Mexico)

Voilà trois jours passés à Xalapa, ville du disctrict de Veracruz où j'ai surtout rencontré des amis d'amis. En effet, je passerai la première soirée avec Nayeli, une amie de Fred (mon ami d'Orbey) qui a passé 4 années en France et qui maintenant travaille à nouveau au Mexique. Elle a un petit garçon de 2 ans, Ricardo. Le lendemain, je rencontrerai Agustin, le papa de Ricardo. Enfin le dernier jour, je rencontrerai Adriana, une amie de Arthuro qui habite à Coatepec. Que de gens symapthiques et accueillants. Durant mon séjour, j'aurai l'occasion de visiter les plus importants endroits (à mes yeux) qui sont le centre-ville et son impressionnante église construite en pente.

J'ai visité aussi le musée faunique situé aussi au sommet de la colline qui surplombe la ville.

Ensuite, j'ai visité l'Hacienda de Lencero qui est très typiquement entourée de murs et excellemment entretenue. C'est un endroit qui inspire à l'apaisement, surtout les jardins. Elle est composée d'une chapelle et de l'habitation des propriétaires. Les autres bâtiments (logement du personnel) ne sont pas visitables et le domaine n'existe plus.

Puis j'ai visité le musée d'anthropologie qui est le deuxième plus important du pays après celui de Mexico et renferme quelques pépites dont les énormes sculptures de têtes Aztecs mais surtout le Mictlantecutli, sorte de statuette dédiée à la mort et qui est un objet intrigant et fascinant.

Et enfin, j'ai visité une petite partie de Coatepec, une ville située à 15km de Xalapa. J'y ai rencontré Adriana pour un café, car le café est LA spécialité locale, même si je ne bois normalement pas de café.

I spent three days in Xalapa, city of the Veracruz district, where I mostly met friends of friends. Hence I will spend my first evening with Nayeli, a friend of Fred (my friend from Orbey) who spent four years in France and who works now again in Mexico. She has a two years ol boy called Ricardo. The next evening, I will meet Agustin, the father of Ricardo. Finally on the last day, I will meet Adriana, a friend of Arthuro who lives in Coatepec. What a pack of nice and welcoming people. During my stay in Xalapa, I will have the chance to visit the most important things around (to my opinion), which first are the downtown and it's amasing chuch with a penting floor. 

I also visited the faune museum located on the top of the hill that leans over the city.

Then I went to visit the Hacienda, which is typically surroundined by walls and the inside is well taken care of. It's peacefull place that pull people to relax, especially the garden. It is composed of a rather big garden, a chapel and the accomodation of the landlords. The other buildings (workforce accomodations) cannot be visited anymore and the domain doesn't exist anymore.

I then visited the Museum of Anthoropologia, the second biggest of the country after the Mexico City's one. It contains some very rare items, including some enormous scupltures of Maya's heads but also and no the least the Mictlantecutli, kind of little statue dedicated to the death and which is a facinating object. 

I finally visited a bit of Coatepec, a town located 15km away from Xalapa, where I met Adriana for a coffee, as coffee is the specialty of the city, even if I don't normally drink coffee.
